Olivia Goins-Jordan, LISW-S
Clinical Director
My passion for mental health counseling comes from my love for all people and all of our differences. I have been in the mental health field for about 8 years. One-on-one client interaction has always been a favorite part of my job. My experience includes management of social workers who work with foster youth. As a manager, I value teamwork and positive work environments.
My primary goal as a therapist is to provide a safe, judgement free space for clients to express their feelings and emotions. With every client, I use a trauma informed approach while guiding them through the problem-solving process. Each intervention used is evidence based, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, Gestalt Method, and more. While using evidence-based interventions is important to the work we do, I also value the beauty of ”vent sessions.” Sometimes letting it all out in a comfortable setting is the exact thing we need for a clearer mind. Out of all the different interventions I have used with clients in my experience, CBT is my favorite; especially for clients struggling with anxiety and depression. What I like most about this intervention is how it challenges clients’ perspectives while incorporating positive coping skills.
Building rapport is one of my favorite parts of the therapeutic process. I understand that starting therapy can be unnerving and intimidating so I aim to make the rapport building process fun and stress free. Learning who my clients are, for their true selves, has always brought me a sense of fulfillment in my career. With every client, I use a strengths-based approach. While our weaknesses may be what brings us to therapy, our strengths are what help us find viable solutions to reduce stress and help improve quality of life overall. Mindfulness practice is also heavily incorporated into my approach. During sessions I am open to practicing meditation and other mindfulness techniques with clients.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, cooking with family, and traveling. I aim to have a good work/life balance and promote my team members to do the same. Self-care is important for me to maintain in order to best serve my clientele. I have learned a lot of self-care activities and techniques over the years and enjoy sharing them with all of my clients.

Mental Health Counselor
With nearly six years of experience in the field, I believe that the foundation of effective therapy begins with genuine rapport and connection. My approach is primarily person-centered, rooted in the belief that individuals are inherently motivated to move toward healing and growth. I strive to create an environment that is authentic, empowering, nonjudgmental, and validating where every person feels seen and supported.
While warmth and compassion guide my style, I also integrate evidence-based interventions tailored to each client’s needs. My therapeutic toolbox includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Feminist Therapy, & Family Systems. Together, we’ll uncover strengths, build insight, and develop practical skills to help you move toward your goals.

I value helping clients find balance between personal growth and everyday life. Outside of work, I practice what I teach, making time for adventure, nature, and self-care. As a proud fur mom of two dogs and two cats, I find joy in simple moments like walking my pups, listening to music, figuring out how to keep my plants alive, or playing with Legos. I believe everyone deserves their own set of healthy coping skills to thrive in this busy, ever changing world and I look forward to helping you discover yours.

Lydia Ward, LSW
Mental Health Counselor
I received my Bachelors and Masters in Social Work with a specialization in Community Practice for Social Change. I began my career as a Licensed Social Worker in community-based settings: respite prevention care programs, community development corporations, and adolescent empowerment initiatives focused on resilience and skill-building in non-profit settings.
These diverse experiences deepened my commitment to walking alongside individuals through complex life challenges while advocating against systems that pose barriers to their success.
In therapy, I use a person-centered, strengths-based, empowerment-focused approach, integrating talk therapy and solution-focused strategies. I support children, adolescents, young adults, and families navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, depression, and major life transitions. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel empowered to move forward in the way that’s right for you.

Life doesn’t have to feel overwhelming or lonely. You don’t have to wait until things overflow. Let’s talk — together, we’ll build the tools you need to heal, grow, and thrive.
Outside of work, I enjoy being an older sister, spending time with my family and dogs, and
exploring new places through food and travel.

Ellen Davis, SWT
Therapeutic Behavioral Specialist
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Ohio University in May 2023. I am currently an MSW student at Ohio University completing my practicum at Guiding Solutions, where I am gaining hands-on clinical experience under supervision. My first position after graduation as a visitation monitor offered meaningful insight into the complexity of family dynamics. Observing and documenting non-custodial visits deepened my understanding of the level of support children and families often need during challenging transitions.
I am often described as calm and comforting in my approach. I strive to meet others with patience, openness, and empathy, creating a space that feels welcoming and safe. I view the therapeutic process as a collaborative conversation; one where clients feel supported, heard, and empowered to share at their own pace.

Outside of my professional and academic work, I enjoy staying active at the gym, spending time outdoors, and planning future travel. I value learning about different cultures, exploring new places, and trying new foods, all of which help me maintain balance and perspective.
Mental health has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I explored several academic paths, yet the idea of counseling consistently resurfaced. I have always been a people-person, driven by a desire to support, advocate for, and learn from others. I find fulfillment not only in helping others grow mentally and emotionally, but in growing alongside them as well.
