Olivia Goins-Jordan, LISW
Clinical Director
My passion for mental health counseling comes from my love for all people and all of our differences. I have been in the mental health field for about 8 years. One-on-one client interaction has always been a favorite part of my job. My experience includes management of social workers who work with foster youth. As a manager, I value teamwork and positive work environments.
My primary goal as a therapist is to provide a safe, judgement free space for clients to express their feelings and emotions. With every client, I use a trauma informed approach while guiding them through the problem-solving process. Each intervention used is evidence based, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, Gestalt Method, and more. While using evidence-based interventions is important to the work we do, I also value the beauty of ”vent sessions.” Sometimes letting it all out in a comfortable setting is the exact thing we need for a clearer mind. Out of all the different interventions I have used with clients in my experience, CBT is my favorite; especially for clients struggling with anxiety and depression. What I like most about this intervention is how it challenges clients’ perspectives while incorporating positive coping skills.
Building rapport is one of my favorite parts of the therapeutic process. I understand that starting therapy can be unnerving and intimidating so I aim to make the rapport building process fun and stress free. Learning who my clients are, for their true selves, has always brought me a sense of fulfillment in my career. With every client, I use a strengths-based approach. While our weaknesses may be what brings us to therapy, our strengths are what help us find viable solutions to reduce stress and help improve quality of life overall. Mindfulness practice is also heavily incorporated into my approach. During sessions I am open to practicing meditation and other mindfulness techniques with clients.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, cooking with family, and traveling. I aim to have a good work/life balance and promote my team members to do the same. Self-care is important for me to maintain in order to best serve my clientele. I have learned a lot of self-care activities and techniques over the years and enjoy sharing them with all of my clients.

Katarina Brown-Rodriguez, LPC
Mental Health Counselor
My journey into the world of mental health counseling began with the influence of my high school psychology teacher. He was a wonderfully eccentric individual, whose passion sparked my love for understanding the intricacies of human behavior. Exploring the concept of the mind and behavior has been a challenging as well as rewarding learning odyssey that has influenced my approach to the therapeutic process.
Throughout my 5 years in the field, I’ve always valued promoting the clients’ well-being and making therapy a safe space. Authenticity, empowerment, non-judgment, and validation are the cornerstones of my practice. I'm here to provide support in fostering self-awareness, building motivation, and developing the practical skills that will contribute to a more balanced and fulfilling life.
Grounded in a person-centered approach, I believe in the inherent motivation of individuals toward positive psychological functioning. When it comes to helping clients develop skills for their goals, I draw from a diverse range of evidence-based interventions in my toolbox that include but are not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational-Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Feminist Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Mindfulness, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
In my free time you can find me thrift shopping with friends, tending to my collection of house plants, and being a mother to three wonderful, intelligent, furry animals. I have three fur babies- two dogs and a feisty orange cat. Some of my go-to coping skills include crocheting, listening to music, going to the lake, and playing with fidgets. In our chaotic world, everyone deserves a set of quality coping skills. Together we can explore and tailor coping mechanisms that resonate with you. I can’t wait to navigate your counseling journey together and uncover your strengths.

Charmayne Patterson, LSW
Mental Health Counselor
As a Licensed Social Worker (LSW, MSW), I have dedicated my career to helping individuals and families navigate challenges, discover their strengths, and create pathways toward healing.

I am especially passionate about working with teens and young adults, supporting them as they find their voice, build confidence, and explore their sense of purpose.

Alongside my clinical work, I founded a nonprofit organization focused on youth and family support services. This work reflects my deep commitment to empowering communities and creating safe spaces where individuals feel seen, valued, and supported. My background in case management and community social work continues to guide my approach, allowing me to meet clients where they are and walk alongside them through transitions and growth.
In practice, I work with individuals facing trauma, anxiety, depression, and PTSD, providing compassionate care tailored to their unique needs. My personal motto is: plant the seed, even if you are not there to watch it grow. I believe each step of support has the potential to create lasting change, even beyond the moments we share together.
Outside of my work, I enjoy cooking, traveling, listening to audiobooks, and spending quality time with family. Maintaining balance in my own life allows me to be fully present and bring my best self to those I serve

Lydia Ward, LSW
Mental Health Counselor
I received my Bachelors and Masters in Social Work with a specialization in Community Practice for Social Change. I began my career as a Licensed Social Worker in community-based settings: respite prevention care programs, community development corporations, and adolescent empowerment initiatives focused on resilience and skill-building in non-profit settings.
These diverse experiences deepened my commitment to walking alongside individuals through complex life challenges while advocating against systems that pose barriers to their success.
In therapy, I use a person-centered, strengths-based, empowerment-focused approach, integrating talk therapy and solution-focused strategies. I support children, adolescents, young adults, and families navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, depression, and major life transitions. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel empowered to move forward in the way that’s right for you.

Life doesn’t have to feel overwhelming or lonely. You don’t have to wait until things overflow. Let’s talk — together, we’ll build the tools you need to heal, grow, and thrive.
Outside of work, I enjoy being an older sister, spending time with my family and dogs, and
exploring new places through food and travel.
